The next and maybe final Baldur’s Gate 3 update is due out this week, according to Larian CEO Swen Vincke.
As reported by IGN, Vincke said at video game expo PAX West: “Patch 7 is coming out next week.” That means it’s due between now and Sunday, September 8. Although Larian has scrapped the planned DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3, this next update is a big one.
According to Larian’s blog post on Steam, this update will include a dynamic split-screen feature. Now, when two players get close to one another while playing co-op, the partitioned screens will merge into one screen so that the players can feel closer together, like they’re really exploring the game together.
In case you missed it, Patch 7 is coming to PC next week!
With so many changes and new features arriving in this patch, it’ll take a little longer to get these to you on console and Mac – but don’t worry, you’ll be murdering your enemies and installing mods in no time. pic.twitter.com/G7DzctYwKk

Big news for modders, Update 7 will include Baldur’s Gate 3‘s official modding toolkit. This toolkit has been tested by the modding community during a closed alpha, so it should help players who like to implement fan-made changes more easily.
With it, you’ll be able to create entirely new items, cosmetics, classes, races, dice skins, the UI, and more. Third-party modding will still be accessible outside of the official mod toolkit, so your favourite mods should still work.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will also be getting new cinematics to flesh out some of the game’s evil endings, making a nefarious playthrough more rewarding to complete. “From avatar Origin characters, including the Dark Urge, to the multiple different pathways that you can take as your own player character, each new cinematic is yours to discover,” the post reads.

There are also plenty of bug fixes coming. There will be corrections coming to Dark Urge playthroughs and moments, as well as origin characters. These are more minor fixes for issues like triggers for quests not working correctly and camera pops.
In other news, the Fortnite servers are currently down but should be back up later today (September 4).
