The Italian bassist has traded her usual rock’n’roll sound to embark on a solo project that focuses on techno. The debut track sees De Angelis collaborate with the Brazilian pop star on the pulsing, high-energy song which blends bouncy techno with baile funk.
Directed by Simone Bozzelli, the new track’s accompanying video sees De Angelis dressed in a vinyl dress and fur hat while attempting to reach someone by phone. A purple car drifts to up to her with Anitta walking out. From there, the two are seen dancing in a club, washing a car and having fun.
“My new musical project comes from my love for a soundscape that blends elements of club culture with Baile Funk, electronic, Latin club, and techno,” said De Angelis.
“As a DJ and producer, I love breaking away from convention by pushing boundaries and experimenting with fresh sounds, a vibe that runs through both my sets and my first track. The sound I’m into is all about layers and crossovers.
“I’ve never really fit into predefined boxes, and this DJ journey is no different. For me, it’s all about exploring and merging different styles, bringing a raw, sweaty, and pulsating energy to the dance floor.”

Earlier this year, De Angelis kicked off her first DJ tour which has seen her take the stage in cities such as New York, Chicago, Leeds, Manchester, Berlin, Barcelona, and in Ibiza’s Circoloco at DC10. ‘GET UP BITCH! (Shake Ya Ass)’ marks the musician’s first release under her new label home Noted Records.
Måneskin’s last full-length release was 2023’s ‘Rush‘. In a three-star review of the album, NME shared: “To have navigated such a whirlwind period and arrived here, not just in one piece but thriving, is an astonishing accomplishment. A world tour will soon commence, including dates at arenas across Europe, where these songs will fight hard for space next to Måneskin’s customary cover renditions – there’s a good chance that some of them might win out.”
The Eurovision winners recently performed at this year’s edition of Mad Cool Festival. In a review of their live performance, NME shared: “Charging through the setlist like a well oiled machine – and doing so with their distinct brand of authenticity – Måneskin are at the very top of their game; it’s no wonder they make headline slots seem like a walk in the park.”
As for Anitta, the Brazilian star recently joined Kylie Minogue at the latter’s BST Hyde Park headlining show for a duet of Minogue’s 2001 smash hit ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’.
Considered to be Brazil’s biggest megastar, Anitta has collaborated with the likes of Alesso, Iggy Azalea, Major Lazer, Peso Pluma, Becky G, as well as having her 2022 LP ‘Versions Of Me’ be executively produced by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder.
She has earned over 800 award accolades including four Latin American Music Awards and eight Latin Grammy Award nominations. Her latest full-length release was her sixth album, 2024’s ‘Funk Generation’.
Last year, the pop star revealed that she would “definitely” end her singing career within the next six years.
